Useless as anything but a silent still camera due to mic – I had high hopes for this camera and at 1st was very impressed by the night vision and picture quality and ease of use. I was quickly disillusioned when trying to get the audio to work for the webcam and following all appropriate steps, not only could I not get it to work but using the mic externally completely ruined all the videos I took the sound is distorted and horrible sounding I cannot make out what I am saying at any setting On all settings and at anyr distance from the Mic. I got some cool looking videos but I don’t have any record of the sound at the show I was filming and this sucks as I’ve tried everything to remedy it proposed to me or instructed by customer service and online gurus. Gotta return it. If you have a better mic or a Lapelier microphoneThen your videos are going to sound like garbage
