Great Purchase and very fun – We used this over the weekend and this was a blast. Everyone loved them and multiple people asked how they could build one and how much it cost. I made mine with 2 in angle iron, which 1.75 would have worked better. I used a 1 inch angle iron spacer between the 2 inch tree angle iron and the DOM tubes. The tree mounted to the base with a 3 inch square tube steel. The base was a simple H pattern using 30″ of 2 inch angle iron for the long legs and the cross member was 4 inch channel 20″ in length. We welded a bolt and nut to the 3 inch tube to secure the tree to the base. I would space the DOM tubes slightly further apart if I were building it again. I spaced them at 4 inches apart, and it was hard to slide the larger targets in and out. I ended up cutting an arch shape out of the bottom of the tubes for easier fitment. Overall it was a fun project to build and fun to use.

Awesome plates! – I really liked getting both 6″ and 4″ plates for two dueling trees, at least that’s what I’m going to do. The tubing looks like it is just for the 6″ plating. I think it would be an added bonus to have tubing for the 4″ plates instead of just one set.

Can’t go wrong – The local gunshop had a dealer exclusive 5″ gp100 that I was tempted to get, but I decided to visit another shop and get the 6″ standard version instead. This Weigand product made me very glad I did, once I found out about it on the forums. It fit my Ruger perfectly, and was super easy to install. Recommend you use some loctite, just in case. Looks great on the stainless version revolver, though I’ll bet the black rail would look badass as well, coupled with the stock black pistol grip and the black red dot I threw on top. Very happy customer!

Handy gadget! Works well and is sturdy. – This is a great strawberry hulled! It’s sturdy, easy to use. I’ve bought many small ones in the past that bent when trying to squeeze and pull the tops out—basically garbage. This one works well. I even used it to pull eyes from potatoes and it’s sturdy enough for that, too. I mainly use this for strawberries. Handy gadget.
