Not a bad little camera – Purchased this for a snorkeling trip to mess around with. Didn’t have high expectations at this price point, but the images impressed me. They have been processed in Adobe Lightroom. Most frustrating thing about the camera was it was not easy or intuitive to figure out while underwater or in the water what mode the camera was actually in. Spent the first day taking videos instead of photos.

Great action camera for a great price – I didn’t want to spend the money on a more expensive brand camera since I wouldn’t be using it that often. This camera has been great for my needs. Easy to use, came with lots of various attachments for different uses, and the videos that I’ve done have turned out great.

Great for our Honeymoon to Costa Rica – Used this for our excursions on our Honeymoon in Costa Rica. Worked great during the hanging bridges, canyon rappelling, snorkeling, ziplining, and on hikes. Worked great underwater. Easy to use, but I suggest playing around with it before using it. I do wish you could touch the screen when the waterproof case was on! Battery lasted long and pics uploaded easily. We did purchase a separate accessory pack with more options for mounting. Great purchase for the price and purpose!

Best price per dollar! – Ordered 3 of these about 5 years ago to shoot live music events from different angles. They held up well for the time and traveling all over the world with them. Now Im upgrading to the EK7000 PRO. The previous version did not have great low light capture – very grainy and pixelated, and had a lag on autofocus. This PRO version is a lot better quality in low light and quickly autofocuses during rapid lighting changes. Im pleased, but the batteries aren’t great. I usually just tape a battery bank and plug it in. It lasts 10x longer. Not a bad adaptation for an $80 camera.

Replaced an old GoPro – I had a second gen GoPro. Wow, how technology has changed in a few years. This device is sooo much more advanced than my old GoPro from a few years ago. I am not comparing this to the new GoPros. However, I am amazed at the price point for this Akaso compared to other action cameras. You get a lot for the money and it’s pretty easy to use for someone like me that is not too tech savvy. If you are looking for an inexpensive, easy to use action camera-that won’t cost hundreds, then this should be suitable for most people. Regardless of Akaso offering a discount for “a” review, I still would rate this camera as five stars.

For a starter camera it’s not bad – I just bought this to document my trail rides on my MTB. I know I didn’t want to pay $300-$400 (at least not yet) for a GoPro camera. I wanted to see first if that was something I’d be willing to try later down the line by first starting with something simple like this. For the overall value, the picture quality isn’t bad. I read reviews this is not a true 4K camera and there may be truth to that. After testing this camera out the picture quality is fine. It’s not crystal clear. At times when moving the picture can be grainy at times. Outside of that the camera does a fine job for what it costs. I haven’t tried this on a super long ride as of yet. But it appears from other users you can get 40-60 minutes of battery time depending on the quality of the video one decides to use. What did impress me is the amount of tech use this works with and how easy it is to use. After playing with this and the app (AKASO Go) you can link this camera to your smartphone and do editing, remote your phone to the camera, download videos/pictures directly to your phone. Basically for the $70 or so spent on this this is where this product shines. Overall fine picture quality, impressive tech, and a great budget action camera. Something like this may eventually push one to a GoPro one day but for those not looking to break the bank this is a good deal.

Great camera for inexpensive price, with great accessories – I got this camera for a trip down to the Caribbean. We were planning on doing some snorkeling and we wanted to be able to capture pictures of what we saw underwater. The camera worked great and the waterproof enclosure let you do everything that you need to with the camera itself. I like being able to put a MicroSD card in it to record (it has no internal memory for recording). That way, I can just take out the card when I want to do things with the images.
