It does charge however… – It does charge your Arlo Pro 3. It has to have direct sun. Shade wont do it! I had to exchange one because the charging cord was finicky. Also read that several had problems with the cord. Now the one I have now seems to have No issues and is working quit well. * It has to have direct sun* The only negative I have is the mounting! Mine is drilled and anchored into my mortar between the bricks. The screw that fastens to the solar panel is queer. The tightening piece on the mount is also queer. What I mean by this is you can tighten it as best you can but it is still loose. The ball joint in the mount allows it to pivot in different directions for you whether you chose for the panel to hang straight up and down or sideways, it’s finicky and has issues staying tight! Tighten the best you can and walk away. I’m sure strong winds will end up turning or even loosening the tightening screw. If you have one, this makes perfect sense because it’s just how it’s made. Reinforcement needs to be taken back to the drawing board and a better idea needs to be placed!

Works as described – Per the instructions, I connected the solar panel to the camera with a fully charged battery installed. The real test came with the remnants of Hurrican Ian. In Virginia, we had six consecutive days of 100% overcast conditions with rain. On average, the camera turned on 4-5 times per day including at least once every night that turned on the light. With no sun to charge the battery, after six days, the battery was at 81%. When the sun returned, by the end of the day, the battery was once again at 100%. I would recommend this solar panel that will now save me from climbing a ladder and swapping the battery every 2-3 months. I’ll probably buy a couple more for the other cameras that have a southern exposure.

So Far They’re Great – Took them out of the box, mounted them and plugged cameras in. Cloudy day in WA state and app says both camera batteries have charged up an additional 5% since. Can’t ask for more.

Arlo Solar Charger Works Well – I’m happy with how this solar charger works. My camera was charged to 54% when the solar charger was installed. In two short winter days, it was at 100%.

Does not charge in the winter – Due to battery technology, this did not charge during the winter. There is some pass thru function during sunlight in which the unit runs off the solar instead of the battery . So for 3 months out of the year, you will still need to bring the battery in to let them warm up and then recharge.

Recharges well – Have for more then a year and working great
