If you want to vlog but you can’t afford a camera this is a great alternative. Kids will look at the camera now – The issue I had with taking pictures of my kids was they always wanted to see what the picture looked like. Taking selfies with my phone was never an issue because they look at themselves. With this camera, the screen pops up and they’re able to see themselves so it’s definitely an incentive for them to look at the camera. I now get pictures of them actually looking at the camera and not away. When it comes to picture quality, way better than my phone. What I didn’t think I was going to be able to do with this camera was get action pictures that came out clear. I was able to catch my eldest daughter in mid jump but rather than have a blurry face, I caught her face smiling and in mid air. Nothing blurry at all. If my battery is low, I can charge this all the while still recording or taking pictures. This does come with 2 batteries which is very helpful when you have a big family and always trying to capture moments before the kids get too big. Whether I have the flash on or not, the picture quality I get is absolutely amazing. I thought I was going to have to spend a fortune with the quality I get but not with this camera. Plus, the playback when doing video is just as clear as if I was there. You can definitely take selfies with this camera as you’re able to see yourself and make sure everyone is in the picture. Fits on my tripod with no issues. Plus when I’m trying to take a family picture, I can just flip the screen over and make sure we’re all in the screen.
