cool drone – This is a good starter drone for a kid to play with outside. Set up and pairing was pretty easy, we had it up in the sky in no time. The drone flies as expected and the camera quality is good enough for a starter drone. The only drone I had to compare it with was a much more expensive one so I really can not compare it to that. The kids love it and we had fun on the flights around the yard with it.

That being said, I had to set my expectations as to what I really would demand of this product. As others have mentioned – the instructions are basically a photo, and not much more. However, kids today being very tech savvy, will find short work to figure out the controls and get this baby airborne. I would NOT recommend this as a drone for professionals or photographers. This is a toy in my opinion. It does not handle wind, at all – so take it out on day that is calm or no more than 2-3mph wind, or you will lose it. I controlled mine with my iPhone 8, which gave me access to the camera and controls at the same time. If you have a larger phone, the mount may not fit. I flew it up to about 100ft, and that was about as far as I dared, because it was a bit tricky to keep stable and see on my screen. So, I tried the included remote control instead, and found more fun using that, but again, you don’t get control over the camera then. But it is more fun to fly it around line of site. I get about 10-15mins of flight, and it took me about 25mins charging. Over all, I would give the item as a gift to kids and a newbie that wants to try their hand at a drone, before sinking a lot of money into the hobby. However, understand, that expensive drones, and WAYYY better and easier to fly, because they have stabilization and better avionics in them – so don’t get discouraged if you get a cheaper unit like this to try. Have fun and fly it responsible – don’t be THAT guy in the news putting a black eye on the hobby.

Set up was very easy and it was ready to go. Flew for about 10 minutes then when messing with trim crashed into the house. No damage was done to the drone so it appears to be pretty tough and forgiving. Has some pretty bright LEDS on it.

Works fine, instructions are pretty bad though – The instructions are beyond skeletal – pretty much just a paragraph of text and several screenshots (and the screenshots are in Chinese). But, if you can get past that, the drone itself seems pretty serviceable. I wouldn’t hand it off to kids for use near obstacles, because the blades are all unshielded. The drone also likes to wander, which is more about getting to the trim settings in the app than anything else. If you’re using an iPhone, make sure that you EXIT AND RESTART the control app after you grant it the permissions it wants, or else it won’t actually work. Once that’s done though, the video seems serviceable enough.
