Clear picture at night – The camera works great except it drops connecting too frequently while watching live video. I get maybe 10 seconds of live view and then it drops. My router is about 4 feet from the camera and it’s a wired camera so there is no battery issue. If it wasn’t mounted to my house I would return it.

Not as good as previous generation – EDIT: Upgraded to 3 stars. Thanks to a video on youtube, I discovered one fix that everyone should know. DISABLE 3d motion and birds eye view. They severely restrict your motion detection and in my opinion are quite useless /gimmicky anyway. After doing this my motion detection has improved drastically.

Exactly what I needed – I’ll say the only thing that I dislike is that it seems that one side has better birds eye view tracking than the other, although the other side still works pretty well but not step by step like the other side. Maybe it doesn’t know what to make of one of my trees yet. Setup was extremely easy maybe 1 hour taking my time. If you really only care about the birds eye view google your address and make sure it shows up (picture of your property) or else you won’t be able to use the feature. The lights are extremely strong too. Blinding on approach to an area which I have monitored which is just another advantage to have. The siren is quite loud, could hear it from at least 4 houses down the street. The audio is very loud as well it picks up a lot of stuff that people say walking by, etc. I could also have a 2 way conversation at a distance of 15 feet or so. Overall 5/5 as long as the durability is there. My favorite feature is the birds eye view, it’s fun to watch.

Fifth Ring Camera – Purchase Ring Spotlight Cam Pro plugin wired, VERY disappointed that I cannot turn the light on for more than 30 seconds, even though I can record longer videos. This is completely unacceptable.

The one I use to supplement my pro system – I set up a few hundred security camera systems over the years, and with the recent improvements to the Ring camera models, I’m increasingly using Ring Pro models (this spotlight cam pro, and floodlight cam pro) to supplement more industrial strength systems. The reason is because the person detection, configurable smartphone alerts, and community video sharing features are very useful. For my own home I configured these to alert me only if a person is detected near my house curb or in my driveway between midnight to 5am. Then I can take action if needed, and not be bothered with regular motion such as cats and raccoons.
