Even for the low cost it’s still trash. – Okay got this to so some pranks on mine and my B/F kids. Figured would try it and see how it works. Okay so i haven’t done the pranks yet. To test the camera I hooked it up the first use to monitor a room to see what kind of stuff my son was doing. He’s 7 and devious. I put the camera like way back from where I expected to record thinking I would get a decently big area being recorded. Instead I got a small square of pretty much nothing. The picture is extremely poor and I can’t get the motion detection to activate correctly. It blinks like the directions said, but doesn’t actually motion detect because my files show they were recorded on 5 minute increments even when no one was in the room. I was annoyed and decided while let me see how this looks if you hook it to the tv…well that went wrong fast. The cable they give you had one end for charging and one end for the tv. The charging end is easy just use an extension cable…buy the problem is the cable that hooks up for AV is also short and it doesn’t even reach around the TV. So I did plug it in like the directions say and nothing…the TV says no device found…Also the date and time is annoying to try and fix.

It’s pretty good, not great, not perfect, but good. – It’s okay. If you’re looking for just a view at something in a small space, this will do. It does save to a .Avi file so you’ll probably have to convert it. Quality is a bit grainy, but it’s a micro $30 camera, don’t expect GoPro quality. I tried using this to see inside a model set I made. I found that it really has a very narrow field of view. I had to back the camera all the way out of the model in order to see the majority of the model inside.
