Nice Vlogging and Stills Camera, Strange Transition from Fuji – I have been shooting Fujifilm cameras for years, after a couple years with the Micro 4/3 system. I have been interested in moving to a full frame digital camera, but this is not that; this is another ASPC crop sensor camera, but as I understand it, the Z30 will feel very familiar to Nikon users, and so I thought it would be a nice introduction to that company, especially as a camera I received free of charge for review.

Nice Vlogging and Stills Camera, Strange Transition from Fuji – I have been shooting Fujifilm cameras for years, after a couple years with the Micro 4/3 system. I have been interested in moving to a full frame digital camera, but this is not that; this is another ASPC crop sensor camera, but as I understand it, the Z30 will feel very familiar to Nikon users, and so I thought it would be a nice introduction to that company, especially as a camera I received free of charge for review.

No EVF? No problem, depending on your purpose – First things first, what are you looking to use this camera for? This camera is garnered very specifically for a certain population. If you do a lot of video, vlogging, selfies, etc. this would be a solid choice. It’s a massive upgrade from the phone while still retaining a very small body. If you’re looking primarily to take stills such as portraits or landscapes, I would look elsewhere. Once you figure out what you want this camera for, if it matches what you need, it’s a very solid entry-level choice that is quite affordable.

Great sized camera, need more hand holding – This is geared toward someone who takes pictures primarily from a smartphone and looking to upgrade the quality of their photos. This is a great camera for that. However, there could be some improvements during on-boarding. Out of the box, I was not able to pair the snapbridge with my wife’s iphone. I needed to download the firmware software on my computer first and update it. Also, this kit doesn’t include a SD card. This should at least include a 16gb sd card to get started. Other than these points its a great camera for someone that wants to upgrade from a smartphone.
