Unique Security Camera With Some Weaknesses – I’ve been using Reolink cameras now for five years and have used several of their camera models. The ecosystem has its ups and downs, but overall, I’ve been happy enough with the camera hardware to continue buying them.

Great addition to my system – This is an addition to my RLN8-410 Reolink system. I needed the 5X zoom. The spotlight, 2 way communication, siren, and a Black Friday price were a pleasant bonus. The AI person, vehicle, and pet detection have worked well on all of the Reolink cameras in the system and this one also does well. The spotlights do turn a black & white night scene to color even at the zoomed distance. I haven’t used the 2 way communication or the siren yet but it is good to have those available. While the warm weather problem of spiders & webs require some intervention, I have been very pleased with the Reolink cameras & system.

Nice cameras love the spot light – I recently bought 4 of these cameras and the reolink 8 channel NVR. I was a little disappointed that you cannot get this camera in a bundle that include 100′ of cat 5 cable per camera. I bought cat 6 one hundred feet per camera so this added around another $90 after taxes. I did a lot of research on different brands and reolink kept coming up typically in the top 3 of most reviews. I also wanted a camera that had a spot light mode that could be set up to turn on when motion was detected. As far as I could tell Reolink is the only company to offer this. I wanted this feature because I want undesirable’s to notice the change in the environment with the spot light. I currently have some Arlo wireless cameras at another property. My biggest issue with them is I have to charge them and some times I forget so during those times no cameras. Another issue with the Arlo is anything that moves sets them off. A great feature with the reolink cameras is they can tell the difference in a person, vehicle, dog or cat versus other things that create motion. I love that I can go on the app and tell it to only show me video play back with people, or vehicles. And so far (one week) the cameras have done a great job of detecting the difference. They have great distance for motion detection both at night and during the day. At night if I go outside the cameras pick me up very quickly and turn on the spot lights. I also like that I have the NVR which means no cloud services to pay a monthly fee. Also If my internet goes down I keep recording. The cameras are solidly built when you take them out of the box they are heavy and nicely constructed and feel like quality. The cameras were easy to set up on the app. So far no complaints. I would absolutely recommend this system.

Decent cameras for price but so far had to RMA 2 out of the 10 – These are good and easy to work with. Application on phone and PC is good and can do what I need it to do. A feature of two that would be nice would be a screenshot of the alert without having to log in. The another issue I had was of the 10 installed for the past 6 months, I had 2 that died within 6 months. RMA was relatively EASY BUT I had to pay $18 to ship each back so down an extra $36. If more decide to go, then I will have to lower the stars. This was mounted outside under the soffits so it had some protection for the most part. I mean it is out doors so this would be the best it would get.
