Metal body camera with excellent night vision. Drops connections when it rains. – The camera build quality is great. The camera body is all metal. It is far heavier than I thought it would be. The night vision is excellent. In low light this camera excels. You can set it up for 24/7 recording and loop the recording to delete the oldest footage. Also it can be local with an micro SD card so you don’t have to pay for cloud storage.

Awesome Reolink Camera that is very stable & reliable – After going through a few different cameras from amcrest & eufy, I found this reolink which has the perfect aspect ratio for my narrow and long backyard. It has a completely stable stream that has not dropped once and continues to record to my software NVR.

Incredible for the $$ – Great performance. Night vision in B&W unless you use the light. GREAT email tech support from Reolink. I’ve bought many Reolink cameras over time – this one had a problem with making a wifi connection. Reolink support examined it over the network and immediately send a replacement and prepaid return label. Reolink is my go-to supplier for this sort of thing. They have even relented on the non-configurable i-frame issue in some of their newer models.

Easy installation and great features. – Picture quality is very good, day or night. Much better than the Nest cam I had that failed after 2 years.

Good value camera especially with custom rain protector – easy storage integration with Synology NAS – Good value camera so far. Using the 2-way audio is not the best, as the speaker quality on the camera is poor. A huge benefit for me, though, was the reliable and easy integration with a Synology NAS. Video is saved to my home Synology NAS, therefore not requiring a monthly cloud storage fee.

Fantastic Camera – I have this camera mounted outdoors on my shed under an eave about 40 feet away from my closest mesh router and it works flawlessly. I’ve owned it for 2 weeks and I haven’t lost connection even once. I like the zoom, and the 5mp quality is almost as good as my other 3 Reolink 4K 8mp cameras I own. If you buy a sports car and run it with cheap fuel and then complain that it runs horribly and doesn’t perform as well as the manufacturer claims, well it’s not the cars fault, buy better fuel. If you purchase a $100 wifi camera and it loses connection constantly and the picture is on par with a cheap $35 camera you own ( I also own a few of those popular $35 w*ze cams) then maybe you may want to upgrade your internet service and get a better modem/router combo. Can’t blame the camera. A 5mp cam is FAR superior than the 1080p cams I also use. Zoom in with a 1080p cam and you have no idea what you’re looking at. Zoom in with the 5mp and the picture is much clearer. If I could find one caveat emptor with Reolink is that they need a starlight sensor for true color night vision. If the $35 camera folks can have it on theirs, Reolink should have it on their cams as well. I’m not saying RL’s night vision is bad, but adding a spotlight and having to have the spotlight go on to activate color night vision, is cheating. I like Reolink cams so much that I’m going to retire the 3 outdoor $35 cams with 3 more of these Reolinks.
