So far, so good – As usual with WIFI cameras, this one was a little more fiddly to set up than the description suggests, but it all worked out. Still working on determining battery life and other issues, such as how well the solar charging works. I’ll update this review as I learn more.

Love the motion sensor and picture quality – I am still getting used to the settings, but so far I am very pleased with this camera. The motion sensor is amazing and picture quality is perfect. I am trying to figure out the video to my phone when there’s an alert. So far I can’t get a video, even though I have a card inserted. At least it alerts me though.

Running Reolink for Years – and it’s just getting better – I use Reolink cameras as a net around my house to augment my Ring system. For 3+ years, I’ve been running the older hardware and it’s been great. I wanted to relocate my Ring camera and use my new Reolink in it’s place (due to a rash of car break-ins) to take advantage of the lighting and alarm feature. When I took the Ring solar panel off, the PVC base just crumbled, while the Reolink one is metallic. The picture quality is superior as well. One caveat. The instructions say that it supports 2 and 5ghz, but the unit was unstable at 5ghz. I have an Ubiquity WAP that extends my coverage outside, and was able to re-point the camera to the 2.3ghz frequency and it’s been stable ever since. Also, the only other thing is that motion sensitivity on these cameras are finicky and the software isn’t the best, but the quality of the construction of these units more than makes up for these minor hiccups.

So far so good, good wi-fi range – I’ve only been using it for one day and will update if anything changes.

Almost a winner… – I live in a rural area with poor internet access and limited emergency support services, so security cams are important. I use satellite internet and an Amplifi mesh extender system purchased on Amazon. I have 4 cameras located around my property. This one is about 65 ft from my router, which is placed on the 2nd floor on a very large window sill, with direct line-of-site signal to the camera which is mounted on a tree.
