I am impressed! – I wasn’t sure how well this would work but so far it has surpassed my expectations. I no longer have to remove my stick up cameras and recharge them. The solar panel has kept them at or just under 100% (under when we’ve had a couple of cloudy days in a row). I hope the love continues!

Easy installation, very effective at maintaining the two Ring spotlight cam batteries – I own a lot of Ring gear, a mix of 6 versions of their cameras, camera/spotlights and doorbells and have owned some of my Ring gear for over 5 years. This was my first purchase of a battery powered Ring camera/light with the solar array accessory. I installed the set up the spring of 2021 – my impressions are below:

Glorious add for the Ring Spotlight Cam – The solar panel is a great add to the Ring Spotlight Cam. I have a few exterior cameras, and of course they are the battery ones (otherwise this review would be silly). The cameras are set up high off the ground as to increase their viewing angles as well as decrease the possibility of someone grabbing it. This is great…. until I need to recharge the battery. Then it is pull the ladder out, set it up, move it because I set it up to far away…., pull the battery out, charge for what seems like forever, and repeat for installation of the battery.

So easy to install – I had been apprehensive for years about buying the solar panel because I thought it would be cumbersome. All I had to do was find a spot and plug into the back. The cord with the panel is very long even thought I did purchase the extension cord I didn’t need it. Since I will be having surgery soon, I needed longer lasting life to my camera and now I’m satisfied that I no longer have to worry about not capturing everything due to not having batteries fully charged.

Better than I anticipated – We’ve had this up for 6 months now. It worked great during the summer and consistently kept the battery at 99-100%. It has endured a pretty wicked hailstorm with no damage, and I am surprised as we have it positioned almost completely face-up at our roof line. I’ve been waiting to review because I wanted to see what it does during our dreary, cloudy winter. Since last week it was put to the test, as we have now had roughly 10 straight days of overcast weather. Despite that, battery has not dipped below 88%. I’ll keep an eye on it and update the review if anything changes, but so far, I am impressed.
