This won’t be my last solar purchase – I have a number of security cameras from various companies (including a few from Wansview) and this Wansview B4 outdoor cam is my first solar. Most of my cameras are wired and that’s okay to a point, but sometimes with no outlet available, a battery camera is a must. And all battery cameras are NOT created equal. Some will need to be recharged every few months and some every two weeks. Yes, a lot depends on your settings and how many incidences a day it records, but recharging is inevitable. So I thought it time to dive into the solar pool to give it a try. I must say that there have been no issues and I am quite pleased. Please see pictures of this B4 solar on my garage gutter (I purchased this gutter mount separately and it is not included with this camera). The set up was easy with the Wansview Cloud app, and it gives a step-by-step visual (and audio) how to do setup. I’ve setup a lot of cameras so there’s no mystery for me, but it took me about two minutes from the time I clicked on the ‘add device’ button on the app to when I was looking at a live picture on my phone. Always a delight to see the initial live shot on a new camera. The view is excellent and nothing is lacking for a camera in this price range. Oh, after I charged the camera with the solar panel (just plug it into the camera itself) I disconnected the panel temporarily to attach the camera to my gutter. I forgot to reattach the panel but the camera still had power for a few days and quickly recharged after I finally reconnected. I didn’t measure the length of the solar panel wire but its length is quite enough in case you can’t position the panel right with the camera. A good camera and this won’t be my last solar purchase.

Great Solar camera that’s easy to set up and use – If you are looking for a home security camera I highly recommend this one! We got this camera because we live in a rural area and the power goes out often so having a solar security camera is very beneficial. Everything about it is Superb! The video is clear, the picture is Bright and the entire features on the camera is awesome, setting it up is so easy. Setup could not be easier with the voice commands and the well-written manual. the solar cell power cord is more than enough to position the camera where you want without worry about setting the solar panel too, I was able to position the cameras and solar panels where it maximized their function.
