You need one of these for your outdoor camera – One of the few things I dislike about the Simplisafe outdoor camera is the battery life. We have ours on some of the lowest settings for triggering and yet it still will drain the battery pack in 2-3 months. That’s why one of these drop-in replacements are required – it means that you don’t have to wait for the 5-6 hours it takes to fully charge to get your outdoor camera working again. Swapping between a pair of these, one in the camera, and one fully charged, solves the problem nicely.
