Great improvement over previous model; design offers unobtrusive monitoring – The image quality of this model is a great improvement over the older model (B08HRK4VY9). The first unit I received was could not recognize memory cards; but the replacement worked fine. The IOS Ubox app makes it very easy to add a device: turn on the camera, listen for the voice prompt, run the app to add a device, then use the camera to scan a QR code. The support app is excellent, but could use one improvement: detection zone (and a minor improvement: identify wifi network in use). The built in solar panel makes the device much less obtrusive than models with separate panels. But the solar panel is may be the limiting factor in the useable life of the device. The unit I bought one year ago can no longer charge the battery. Residue from evaporation of condensation may have hastened the demise of the solar panel. The built-in solar panel means the camera can only be oriented in a southerly direction (from the northerly latitudes).
