Works great! – Bought 2 to monitor my elderly mom, and based on reviews. I don’t see the difference between this and the newer Kasa newer model, or other costlier brands. I had to switch the modem out of the 5g setting since this model isn’t built for it. The app didn’t connect with the cameras at first, so had to unplug and plug back in. You can hear everything in the room, but haven’t figured out how I can speak from my phone app to the camera speaker, or if that is even possible. Still happy though after a month.

I am practically illiterate when it comes to Wi-Fi, modems, etc. but after a few frustrating moments I got it up and running. Down side is the battery is crap and only gets about one hour recording time before it’s dead. Solution : plug it in and you’re good to go.

Manufacturers are too busy developing new models to fix bugs in the old ones. Nest is a Google company. Google is very good with security. Of course, you must secure your Google account with a strong password and preferably with 2-factor authentication. If somebody breaks into your Google account, they can turn the camera off. Or they can turn it on, look around your home, and even talk to the babysitter. This would totally freak out any teenager I know, and rightfully so.
