Quality Camera and Features – I have had a security camera system at my home for more than 10 years. Over the past year I have been working to update part of the system. I began looking for a PTZ camera that had good night vision. zoom capabilities, motion tracking, compatible with the Blue Iris software, and would not break the bank.

A versatile camera full of features – I’m seldom impressed enough with a product to sing it’s praises but this PTZ camera qualifies. I’ve had a couple fixed position cameras over the years and thought they were fun and helpful giving me some piece of mind about what was going out outside the house. This camera has many features that are new to me. My first impression upon opening the package is that this is a hefty device. An aluminum case. Not plastic. Even the mounting was given a lot a thought. In the past I’ve had to try and get screws into the mounting holes while working around the camera. This camera has a mounting plate that is first secured to the exterior wall. Then, the camera fits over the plate and is held on with one screw in the bottom. Simple even for an old man. The recommended software is Camhipro. I was familiar with their previous app but this newer one (free) is far better for scanning or finding a particular event. Organized by day and hour with a timeline that shows activity and allows me to easily review.
