Excellent camera for the price – I have several SV3C cameras now and I will not buy another brand. They work very well, have good image quality and are a fraction of the price of any big name competitors. Software was easy to use and setup was no issue. Best of all there is no expensive service to use your cameras that you need to subscribe to.

Great Performance & Features – In many ways this is the outdoor cam I wish I had bought 5 years ago when I bought my first. I want a unit to monitor my front drive so I know when someone arrives at the house. This camera provides good quality imagery both day and night [and in rain!] and also gives me that ability to point the camera in different directions. Also has many controls over image quality which other cams lack. The camera is designed for a variety of users … by default it will record constantly which I turned off in favor of just recording detection events. It seems to have a stronger wifi connectivity than my previous cams. And there is a Windows/Mac application that allows me to monitor the video on my PC [I am hoping to find an app for my smart TV too!]. But all of this performance comes at the expense of having this plugged in … it does not have a battery or solar panel so I had to run extension cords and drill through the garage wall in order to install.

It’s a decent camera. – It does what it needs to, however the motion sensor kicks in when a leaf fly’s by. So I believe it’s just a little too sensitive. And the camera motion could be a bit smoother. But all in all it’s a good product.

Mounting system – The camera seemed to function well and provide good picture. I was not impressed with the mounting system, however. The back of the unit has a 24mm slot that slides over ears on the mounting bracket (plastic) but is not secured to it in any way. It can then be removed too easily. I returned it.
