Great but lasted less than a year! – We have several of these but had to replace a G3 with this G4 after 4 years…that’s ok. BUT, this G4 lasted less than a year and at $267 each…not good. Stopped working several times AFTER the return period, tried resets, would work a bit then go off again. Went to try and reset, the unit was VERY hot. Unplugged it, let it cool and then tried plugging into a direct wire and same thing, began heating up to the point of not being able to handle it. Not happy! Replaced this one with a new G4…will see.

Worst part was running the network cable. – We have a number of Ubiquiti products and just added the G4-Bullet. Once the cable was run, the camera was up and running in a few minutes. In preparation, I did setup the Protect software, so the camera was immediately recognized.

It just works with good video quality – I was nervous buying this camera from Amazon thinking that it may be cheap knock off no this is the real Ubiquity UniFi G4 protect camera and it works video quality is good during the day and at night. The only complaint I have about his camera is it does not come with the installation hand wrench tool to be able to tighten the camera to the wall mount

You can also purchase as an add on to this camera a IR Range Extender , extends the IR range up to 82 Feet. It is an expensive camera compared to the HikVision, you get what you pay for HikVision camera in the south do not last Our of 8 cameras I am down to 4 Hikvision cameras and I am replacing them with these.
