Motion detection is designed for people NOT animals. – Overall a great product for the money (if you can get it at OEM price). My only issue is that Unifi cameras are designed to detect people and cars, not animals. Although it might capture a light colored cat, possum or raccoon it will not capture birds or squirrels even at 5 feet thus not a good bird watching tool.
