Very nice cover! – I have several outdoor cameras and the lens will get wet when it rains and blur out the picture. Once I installed this cove it solved the problem. The surface needs to be large enough to mount it properly so keep that in mind. I had to add a board so it could be attached, otherwise a great addition.

It offers protection from the elements but I was hoping for more sun protection a little longer would be better. Easy to install and does come with hardware for installing in wood or concrete, I however needed to install it on metal so I supplied my own screws. I would recommend it for weather protection. All in all a well made shield.

Quality Made and Very Tough – When looking for a weather shield like this for a camera I’m not looking for something fancy. I want something that can get the job done well and last a good long time. That is where this offering comes in. It is in essence a stamped and machined piece of VERY solid steel that is large enough to cover your outdoor camera from the elements without blocking it’s view and you need it to hold up to repeated bouts of weathering. The packaging was very simple and easy to open. The shield itself was incredibly each to install, just had to place it, mark the fastener holes, drill and screw in.

Easy To Install and Blocks Annoying Sunlight – This was something I have needed for a long time. I have a 4K security camera system that actually looks just like the one in the photo on Amazon. It should do a good job protecting the camera from the rain. It is also helpful to protect it from the sun while at the same time eliminating the annoying glare that causes the picture to become washed out. It was as simple as it comes to install and I plan to put up a couple more soon. The price is also right and I recommend it.

Like an Umbrella for My Camera – To get the proper view of my drive and front walk I had to mount my Ring camera in an unprotected spot over a front bay window. I was going to fabricate something myself, then I discovered this protective shield. This is a very nice quality sheet metal cover, it is powder coated with a black finish on the inner surface to reduce reflective glare, and off white on the top surface which just happened to match my house paint color pretty darn close. It is not going to shield all the incoming weather but it is better than not having any sort of cover. Installation was easy, four bolt flanges, screws and anchors were included. My only issue was on the surface I had to mount this, I could not put in the left most bolt because I didn’t have a surface to go into. You need about a 5.5″ spread to be able to use all the flanges. But it nonetheless feels very solid and has already not flopped around in a couple wind storms we have had since install. Highly recommend this fabricated cover.

I was going to fabricate something myself, then I discovered this protective shield.
